CTPOA is the best! This organization is a “must have membership” for any landlord in Connecticut. They are great at letting landlords know how to protect their property, what type of legislation is on the horizon, education, and much more. I’d be lost without it and am very grateful for the people who put it together and continue to staff the organization.

Not only do they provide landlords like myself with the tools necessary to manage and run my rental properties, but they also keep me informed of all legislation, both good and bad, that could potentially affect me as a landlord. Before joining CTPOA, I was in real estate for more than 10 years but never paid attention to Legislation. Never spent time understanding what bills are getting proposed and their impact.
Bob always stays on top of these and provides me necessary insight about the proposed bills and how they are going to affect our business in the long run. He is doing a fine job. This information is helping me a lot. I strongly feel that other landlords should join and go as One Voice to get the attention of legislators. This is what is missing so far. As a small rental property owner and an immigrant, I don’t think I would be able to stay in business if I did not join CTPOA. CTPOA not only provides information and resources, regularly hosts free seminars and networking opportunities for its members; it also worked very hard in representing housing providers and property owners in the state housing policy making process. Without CTPOA and its members advocacy, Connecticut might pass more senseless legislations that are destructive to housing industry and to the affordability of housing in CT. I am very grateful to CTPOA.
CTPOA is a great resource to keep you abrest of what is going on at the State Capital regarding pending legislation that will impact landlords if the bills are adopted into law. CTPOA also lobbies the Legislators to try to stop legislation that will negatively impact landlords.
I became a member of CTPOA due to Bob caring about our hometown. Bob, who is very intelligent and knowledgeable, has spent so much of his time sharing and educating property owners on how to become a successful investors as well as a good housing provider. In addition, social events held by CTPOA are great opportunities to meet and speak with other housing providers as well as legislators.
Only regret I have is I wish I had become CTPOA members 8 years ago instead of 1 year ago. Thank you Bob for your help.
As a real estate agent I have found CTPOA services and information invaluable. CTPOA has kept me informed of new laws or changes in legislation pertaining to the rental industry. Their classes and webinars address current issues effecting the rental industry. An absolute necessity if you have skin in the rental business no matter your part. Their newsletter is informative, and their vendor list provides contacts with proven results. In my opinion every landlord, agent, attorney & management company should strongly consider becoming a member. If you are working in this industry it’s a NO brainer.
